Nike Air Max Plus Mercurial XXV (Black/Hyper Pink)
Improving Upon a Classic
How do you take an iconic sneaker design and just one day say "all right, let's make it better?" Well, if you're Nike, you're doing it constantly with the all of the different iconic shoe brands you have, but none make such as statement as the Nike Air Max Plus. Its release in 1998 brought a new wave of sneaker technology and style to the game, from Tuned Air cushioning to the TPU ribs that we still see to this day.
Tuned Air, Don't Care
Nike's Tuned Air technology was the next evolution of Air Max technology, incorporating "pillars" in the midsole to add a blend of support and cushion to the shoe for any activity. Comfort was never an issue with the Air Max, and the Air Max Plus made sure that point was driven home with itself as well.
Nike Air Max Plus features:
•Stretch synthetic and leather fabric design provides breathability and support.
•TPU ribs add support and style.
•Multiple visible Air Max Units along forefoot and heel.
•Tuned Air technology makes for optimal support and shock absorption.
•Solid rubber waffle-pattern outsole.
